Hi, I’m Kali. My love affair with travel began in the 11th grade in English lit. For the first time in my life, I had received a B+ grade and I was devastated (don’t judge) . The following semester, I worked hard and ended up getting the class award for “most improved”. When my English lit teacher offered a 1-week trip to the UK during spring break, I jumped at the opportunity. It was magical: watching Ian McKellan performing live, a trip to Shakespeare’s birthplace (Stratford-upon-Avon), and wandering back alleys of majestic London. I knew I would spend a lifetime pursuing this feeling again, and again, and again.
Now all grown up with a full-time job that I love, I have to squeeze my trips into weekends domestically and 1- to 2-week stints internationally whenever I can. Therefore, the objective of this blog is to provide compact itineraries for busy professionals. But in a larger sense, I feel that in an increasingly inward-looking world, travel is so incredibly important. It is the only way we can truly learn tolerance – that we are more same than different, but it’s the differences that are worth celebrating. Let’s go explore!
